Are you thinking about purchasing a Micro Mini Scooter for your young child? Then, this post is for you! I wrote a little Micro Mini Scooter review. If you’re like me, when you’re looking for something for your kids, you turn to online reviews!
We purchased a scooter for my oldest daughter when she was around two years old. She is five now, and for the past three years, we’ve used the scooter daily. We started with a cheap one we found at Target, but as she started riding it more, I realized we needed to upgrade to a better quality scooter.
We tried out the Micro Maxi Deluxe and she’s had it for almost two years. Since my oldest was old enough to walk, she’s wanted to ride a scooter like her big sister, so we partnered with Micro Mini to review the Micro Maxi Original! I’ve written a full review, including a few key points you’ll want to consider when purchasing a scooter, and at the end I wrote a brief comparison to the bigger version, the Micro Maxi Deluxe. Keep reading to see more!
Micro Mini Scooter Review
Reasons to Love the Micro Mini Scooter
The Micro Mini Scooter is the perfect scooter for 2-5 year olds!
Like I mentioned before, my oldest daughter learned to ride a scooter on a different brand. It took her quite a while, and I believe that it was the design that made it a bit harder for her. This Micro Mini was super easy for my young two-year-old to use. It took her, maybe, two days to ride it easily! I think the lean to steer design is what sets it apart!
The Micro Mini Scooter has a safe lean to steer design.
This was a game changer for my young kiddo as she learned to balance and ride! The leaning also helps kids learn how to use their body when riding, and I’ve noticed this skill transfers over when my oldest learned to ride her bike!
Non-marking wheels so kids can learn to ride in your home.
I got so nervous when my 2 year old wanted to try her scooter, as we have so many hills in our neighborhood. I love that the wheels are house-safe! She was able to try it out on our hard-wood floors so that she could get used to the feel of riding before we tried it out outside!
The scooter comes in many colors!
This may seem like it wouldn’t be a huge deal, but when my 2 year old wanted her first scooter she didn’t even get to choose a color. It only came in red! When she got her Micro Scooter, she was delighted at how many color options there were!
The Micro Mini Scooter vs. The Micro Maxi Deluxe
As you can see the Maxi Deluxe has an adjustable t-bar that allows the handlebar to be moved up much more. The Micro Maxi Deluxe holds up to 75 pounds, while the Micro Mini scooter holds up to 44 pounds. However, both are incredibly lightweight and made well!
As you can see in the photos above and below, there isn’t a huge difference in these scooters size-wise, other than the adjustable handlebar. It all comes down to preference.
The price point of the Micro Maxi ($89.00) is a bit more than the Micro Mini ($79.99) if that’s something you’re considering when you do purchase one!
The Maxi Deluxe is so durable that I suspect my younger daughter will be able to use it someday, when her sister is too big for it!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to any caregiver who is looking to purchase a scooter for their young child. In fact, I’ve recommended these to my sister, neighbors, best friends. So many of our friends and family use them!
I really hope this Micro Mini Scooter review was helpful to you! Thank you so much for reading!
