As the temperatures drop, I’m finding myself wanting to bundle up! I continuously reach for leggings and a pullover, but that got boring really quick! Today I’m sharing a few cold-weather basics for women that will keep you feeling stylish even in low temps!

Cold-Weather Basics for Women

Taking Risks With Cold Weather Basics

I really love the simplicity of this outfit. It’s jeans and neutrals, but offers flair with the sneakers and dressy camel coat. I used to be scared of taking fashion risks like this. Wearing sneakers with anything other than my leggings or gym shorts was odd for me. However, as I get older, I’m slowly finding that leisure is key. Sometimes that means wearing sneakers with… almost everything! I say this to my friends all the time, but sometimes if you feel like an outfit is too “much” or too “out there”, chances are it’s super cute to others! So I say go for it! Take risks. If you like the way something looks, wear it!

Why Thrift Designer?

Also, a quick word about this thrifted Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis bag. I’d never be able to afford one brand new. I also wouldn’t buy one brand new even if I could afford it. I only choose to buy designer items if they are secondhand and heavily discounted. This bag was listed with some notable flaws, however, that didn’t stop me from purchasing it. Buying with flaws allows me to enjoy it more because I won’t worry about messing it up. (It’s already flawed!) It also helps me to not contribute to wastefulness. I try really hard to either thrift items that are online or shop secondhand locally. If I can’t find what I’m looking for there first, I look at sustainable fashion brands. It’s worked out well for me this past year, so it’s something I don’t plan on changing anytime soon.
