Reading is so much more than an activity in our home. It’s a staple. A connection. It’s time spent together. We absolutely adore reading to our girls. I have really enjoyed sharing what books we check out at the library with you all! If you follow me over on Instagram, you know I keep a running list of the books we read together! But I thought I would dedicate a blog post to some fall favorites so you can check them out before December hits! Here are ten picture books to read with your kids in Autumn!
Ten Picture Books to Read with Your Kids in Autumn
Note: almost all of these books were checked out at the library! We utilize our local library once a week. It’s saved me so much money, and allowed me to expose my girls to so many more books than I could dream of! So, don’t write off that resource!
The following stories are tried and true. We read them all to our 4.5 year old (and our 18 month old listened too, haha!). I purchased some of them for our home library because they’re just THAT good.
01. Four Friends in Autumn
by Tomie dePaola
02. Too Many Pumpkins

03. Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn

04. The Little Yellow Leaf

05. Apples to Oregon
by Deborah Hopkinson
06. Pumpkin Jack

07. Sophie’s Squash
