Sustainable Style Sessions is a project that I am extremely passionate about. I have so much fun styling these outfits from my closet for you! This week I’m talking about how to style summer to fall looks. My goal in these style sessions is 2 things: 1. to inspire you to shop your closet, and 2. to give you ideas for outfits with pieces you probably already have! I wrote about it more in this Instagram post, but the good ‘ol days of simple outfit inspo are long gone, and I really want to bring them back! So here we go.

How to Style Summer to Fall Looks

Note:  I linked to exact pieces when possible but many of these items I’ve had for awhile and won’t be in stock. I also wanted to take away any “mystery” by giving the exact name and fit/style info where each piece is concerned in case you are in the market for a new item. BUT before shopping these links, make sure to check out your closet to see if you can recreate this with what you already have!

// OUTFIT ONE

For this outfit, I knew I wanted to stick with a neutral palette. But I guess that’s what I always do anyway. The long-sleeve tee looks great with shorts because 1. it’s tucked in, and 2. it’s short of drapey. If it was tight, I doubt it would give the look the same aesthetic! The brown hat and grey boots make it feel tied together, yet effortless! When in doubt, add a hat!

Old long sleeve blouse (love this one from KOTN though!)

Agolde ‘Parker’ Vintage Fit Cut-off Short (I’m wearing a size US 25 – runs true to size)

Super old Sam Edelman boots but still in stock here.

// OUTFIT TWO

This is probably my favorite look of all of them. It’s practical, bohemian feeling, and feels the most like “me” lately. A comfy tee (with cuffed sleeves – that’s an important detail!) A denim black skirt, and the “fall-ish” skinny brown belt. This outfit allows for hot weather but since you’re wearing all black, it feels more like Autumn, right? Lastly, this headwrap. Anyone else super into them lately? Just me?

// OUTFIT THREE

I wanted to go cute and casual for this. I have a black tank from PACT on under the PACT hoodie. Then layered a denim jacket with that to allow for chilly in the morning, but hotter in the afternoon. This is an ideal beach day, play date, zoo, or day out look! The clip gives it a feminine look, and the tennis shoes just make it all the more practical!

// OUTFIT FOUR

I know, another headband! What can I say, I’m super into them for Fall. (MAJOR BONUS: it’s a great way to dress up an outfit without a hot hat!) These simple black leggings are transformed into fall goodness with my trusty olive ABLE utility jacket (a fall staple), and some leopard mules. I also did a bit of layering in this outfit too! The jacket can easily go around the waist in the afternoon and still look adorable!

// OUTFIT FIVE

As always, I went with a dressier, ‘night-out’ look for the last one. I love it, to be honest. The denim skirt with a sweater is unexpected but super practical heat. I also had my wholesome culture tee on underneath it so I could shed a layer if it was too hot. The booties are the perfect detail to take this outfit to the next level. Love how they tie in the black from my skirt/sweater and my brown hat!
