Sustainable Style Sessions is a project that I am extremely passionate about. I have so much fun styling these outfits from my closet for you! This week we are styling an old sweatshirt three ways. My goal in these style sessions is 2 things: 1. to inspire you to shop your closet, and 2. to give you ideas for outfits with pieces you probably already have! I wrote about it more in this Instagram post, but the good ‘ol days of simple outfit inspo are long gone, and I really want to bring them back! So here we go!

How to Style An Old Sweatshirt Three Ways

I am trying really hard to think of items for these sessions that everyone may have in their closet. I have at least three comfy, old sweatshirts that I’ve had forever, so I figured, why not figure out how to style them creatively? This one is navy, so definitely a neutral. I have a grey one too that would work well with any of these outfits! I sort of treated it like a crew neck tee! Anyway, I hope you love these outfits as much as I do!

Note:  I linked to exact pieces when possible but many of these items I’ve had for awhile and won’t be in stock. I also wanted to take away any “mystery” by giving the exact name and fit/style info where each piece is concerned in case you are in the market for a new item. BUT before shopping these links, make sure to check our your closet to see if you can recreate this with what you already have!

  1. Hi Larissa!
I’m absolutely loving your sustainable style sessions. They are so helpful for getting inspired to use pieces I already have in my closet rather than constantly purchasing new items.
I look forward to Wednesday’s to see these! Last week I had almost everything you posted (even old/sold out items), it was awesome!

This session I totally don’t have an older / crewneck sweatshirt though, so I really wanted to grab one because I love how versatile you’ve shown they can be.
I know that you said yours is old, but I think I’ve managed to find an identical (or almost identical) one in stock.

I’m going to leave the link here if you’d like to include it for anyone! https://www.pacsun.com/john-galt/malibu-crew-neck-sweatshirt-8748139.html?OriginId=GOG&XCIDP=P:women-tees_google_pro_shopping_womens_none&k_clickid=_kenshoo_clickid_&gclid=CjwKCAjwycfkBRAFEiwAnLX5IfYNFMrKvfoulziqUEpH-zhWCWbs8eMWh35QiBLUhKhQvue-KhnBvRoCEMoQAvD_BwE

    Thanks again.

    1. Whoa! Kudods to you! Can’t believe you found one that’s so similar! Haha. I got mine in a little beach shop literally in Malibu when I was a teen, so way to go!!!

So glad you’re loving the sessions 🙂 Makes me happy to see that they’re inspiring you to shop your closet. Thankful for your support and your enthusiasm <3

      xo,
      Larissa
