This video is HIGHLY requested, so I am delighted to finally have a bit of time to publish it for you! Wearing Norah in a ring sling (or any carrier) allows me to do so much more for Gracie, and for myself without sacrificing cuddling time. It’s a win-win for sure. Keep reading and watch the video below to learn how to wear your newborn in a ring sling.
HOW TO WEAR YOUR NEWBORN IN A RING SLING
Ring slings are great for newborns, infants, and toddlers, to be honest. They’re easy to put on – there’s no time used to wrap, but you have the same cozy feel as a woven wrap! I love them for use around the house, cooking, or to get Norah to sleep when she just wants to be held. I used my slings for Gracie a ton too; especially at the grocery store or for quick ups!
Try this out, but make sure someone else is there to spot you before you attempt it alone! Also, if you have a local Babywearing International (BWI) chapter near you or in your city, check it out! There are several volunteer babywearing educators (VBE’s) at those meetings who can help you if you’re having trouble!
WHAT KIND OF SLING IS THAT?
This is my Baby Tula tencel blend sling! I have several and love them because they’re supportive, yet breathable, and majorly soft. You can shop Baby Tula slings here, or you can find them on Facebook’s buy/sell/trade pages too! I like long tails on my slings so I usually get L/XL sizes. See this blog post for more info on ring slings and a size comparison!
