I’ve scoured the internet for important hospital bag items this time around. You see, the first time, I just figured I’d pack some clothes, maybe my own pillow, and a newborn outfit for baby. But this time, I’ve done some serious research, and found the best products and must-have items for your hospital bag. The catch? You’ll actually pack three separate bags to fit into your suitcase. That’s right. Here is a comprehensive post on what to pack in your hospital bag.

P.S. Need a checklist? There’s one at the end of this post, so keep scrolling after you watch the video!

LABOR BAG

These items are specifically what I’ll need during labor. I plan to use a lot of them while laboring at home, but do plan to take them with me to the hospital too. Many of them are tools I plan to bring along for a natural birth.

POSTPARTUM BAG

Many of these items are the typical “what to pack” items but there are a few of my own favorites thrown in there. I included some of my favorite nursing-friendly clothing brands, and an adorable hospital robe. I also made sure to add items like a phone charger, or witch hazel, and lastly, my favorite items for breastfeeding.

BABY BAG

A lot of moms I talk to like to say things like “you don’t need to pack anything for baby because the hospital provides all of that!” But to be honest, I’m one of those annoying people who doesn’t use Johnson & Johnson products for bathing, or traditional diaper brands on my baby, so I like to bring my own baby items. Plus, if we’re being honest, baby doesn’t really need that many things. Here is what I packed for our new baby girl.
