If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’m not super fancy; I like simple things. (Especially in my home!) For this reason, I don’t have a fancy, formal dining room or a formal living room either. We’re moms — in this season of life, we don’t really need those things, right? But I do like to have a fancy-looking table during the holidays. There are some super simple DIY ways to “dress up” your tablescape this season. Keep reading to see where I got the products for this easy, kid-friendly Thanksgiving tablescape below.
EASY KID-FRIENDLY TABLESCAPE
One of my biggest fears when hosting a family holiday is that I (or someone else) will break something and have it shatter to bits all over the floor. With little ones running around in this season of life, I love having a fancy china alternative. This Rustica dinnerware from Q Squared is super durable and dishwasher safe! I love that it still looks elegant though.
As far as decor, I just shopped for these products at my local Michael’s and Ikea! They were all very affordable and super easy to find. I’ve linked a few on Amazon below. I like the simple burlap runner because it can be repurposed for other holidays and it adds rustic flare. As for the placemats, they’re a seagrass material, and I love how rustic they feel as well. I don’t have to use them just for holidays either – they can be repurposed!

Love your fall table! So bummed we didn’t get to meet up before we moved. If y’all are ever in Europe, holler! I’d love to catch up and meet Grace and baby #2.
