What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 is a special sale for us to shop Nordstrom’s fall favorites at super discounted prices. Beginning July 13, cardholders will have early access to the sale until it goes live to the public on July 21. Then the sale is open to the public. Like I said, the items available during the sale are extremely discounted and sometimes exclusive. The important thing to remember during the sale, however is that the same items will go up in price on August 7. I view the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale as a one stop shop to stock up for my fall wardrobe must-haves.

When does it start? The sale opens to the public on July 21, BUT cardholders get early access starting Thursday, July 13! The prices on all items go up on August 7, when the sale ends.

How can I get early access to the sale? You have to be a cardholder. The good news is that you don’t have to have a credit card. I actually have the Nordstrom debit and that works nicely for me! You can apply for a Nordstrom debit or credit card online or in store so you can shop the sale immediately!

How do I shop the sale and do I need a promo code? You can shop both in stores and online, and you do not need a promo code!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 Tips and Tricks

Take advantage of their excellent return policy. Honestly, if you aren’t sure about an item, just go ahead and grab it. It’s really rough when you see an amazing pair of jeans discounted at just the right price, but they sell out of your size when you decide to go back and purchase them. The nice thing about shopping at Nordstrom is that returns are free and no hassle so if you did pull the trigger on an item that you’re uncertain about you can always return it if it doesn’t work out.

What if they sell out of an item? In my experience with shopping the sale in the past four years, Nordstrom will randomly restock specific items throughout the sale at different times. They also typically save a few items when the sale goes live to the public so keep your eyes peeled on that day specifically along with checking the site at random times. There’s also a lot of in store returns during and shortly after the sale!

What if they sell out of something I HAVE to have? Last year, I was dying for a specific top that was completely sold out online and in my stores. I ended up calling Nordstrom customer service and asked if they could do a search in other stores to find the item. I had given up hope, but then the customer service rep mentioned that the had ONE left in my size in the entire system and it was at a store in Alaska! The rep had it sent to my house for free. I was beyond stoked. So, it pays to do some leg work if it’s something you really want!
