I’m pretty excited to share with you what’s in my baby carrier stash! I have been wearing G for two years, and have quite the collection to use with all of my subsequent children. I broke this video and post into two parts. In the first part I explain my favorite babywearing brands and the types of carriers you’ll see in the video. In the second part, I share my baby carrier stash and explain the names, sizes, and brands of each carrier. Keep reading to learn more and scroll a bit to see the video!
WHAT’S IN MY BABY CARRIER STASH:
TYPES OF CARRIERS IN MY BABYWEARING STASH:
(Watch video above for demonstration of each)
Soft Structured Carrier (SSC)
A soft structured carrier is a carrier with buckles. These are typically made of canvas and twill, but are also made of woven wraps. They’re simply converted by sewing buckles on and allowing parents to have a more “structured” carry. There’s also added foam and material to add padding for comfort.
Woven Wrap
A woven wrap is basically a big, long blanket. You use woven wraps to carry your baby in different carriers like a Double Hammock, or a Ruck. There are tons of different types of carries for both the front and back. It is quite a learning curve, but once you have the carries down, it’s such a cozy way to wear your baby.
Ring Sling
A ring sling is a piece of woven wrap with rings sewn in so you can wear your baby on your chest, and sometimes your back. A ring sling is a quick, easy, and cozy way to wear newborns and infants, but it’s also great for older kids. I wear G, who is two years old, in a ring sling often. See my beginner’s guide to using a ring sling here.
MY FAVORITE BABY CARRIER BRANDS:
Tula Baby Carriers
Baby Tula makes soft structured carriers, woven wraps, ring slings, and baby blankets! Tula has three types of soft structured carriers. The free to grow, (7 -45 lbs) standard size (15-45 lbs), and toddler size (25-60 lbs). Tula Baby Carriers are my favorite because of their super stylish prints, lightweight material, fool-proof buckles, and the wonderful community. I talk a bit more about Tula in the video too.
Pavo Textiles
Pavo Textiles is a woven wrap brand. I think they also made ring slings and made SSC’s at one time, but I am a fan of their woven wraps. They are very unique in their wrap qualities and come in all kinds of patterns and textures.
Kinderpack
Kinderpacks are another type of SSC that I really like. Their prints are fun, but a little less my style. I only have one of these in my stash, but if the prints are your style, you’d love these too.
I hope you enjoyed this video and post of what’s in my babywearing stash! Be sure to tag me in your babywearing photos on social media with the tag #livingincolorbabywearing.

Those are all super cute! Baby wearing really makes everything easier in those younger years!
